MORE INFORMATION

This Obi-Wan Kenobi in Cold Weather Gear was released single carded in April 2010 in the basic Clone Wars assortment. Kenobi can be seen wearing this cold weather gear in the Ralph McQuarrie inspired episode entitled "Trespass", from the first season of the Clone Wars animated show.

Obi-Wan has 12 joints, only missing adjustable ankles. However, the figure stands very securely on its own without a stand. Hasbro included 3 accessories with Kenobi, a blue lightsaber, removable goggles, and a removable hard-plastic hood. The lightsaber fits very well into both of Obi-Wan's hands, but the left hand is molded with 2 fingers pointing, so it looks better when he holds the saber in his right. The hood can be put over the head, without having to remove or pop the head off. The hood also leaves enough room so Obi-Wan can be displayed with the goggles on while the hood is up. The goggles are a tight fit, but cover the eyes spot on! Unfortunately, if you own the Freeco Speeder, you'll have to take the hood off, and cram the figure into the cockpit. Kenobi does fit, but not very well and the jedi will have to use the force to steer it, because he can't reach the controls with his hands.

Obi-Wan Kenobi's paint application is cleanly applied. The symbol of the Jedi Order is nicely done on the top left chest, and the facial area is painted very nicely as well. There is no dirt or battle damage to be found, but Obi-Wan appeared mostly "clean" in the "Trespass" episode anyways. Besides the fact that the figure isn't a very good fit for the Freeco Speeder, it's a cool figure, and can easily be recommended!
