MORE INFORMATION

Starkiller Galen Marek in "Raxus Prime" outfit was released in the first of two Toys'r'us exclusive The Force Unleashed multipacks. The sets were released in May of 2010 during The Legacy Collection, and each set contained 5 Star Wars figures. This version of Galen Marek is based on the first The Force Unleashed game, and can be seen worn by Starkiller on the planet Raxus Prime.

Galen Marek is super articulated with 14 movable parts. Hasbro used ball-joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles. The wrists, the waist and both legs are swivel jointed. There were two accessories included with Starkiller, a red lightsaber, and a removable soft-plastic cape. Unfortunately, the figure can't hold the lightsaber with either hand, not even for a little bit. When you remove the figure from its packaging, the lightsaber is attached to the right hand via a little plastic band, make sure you don't remove it if you want to display the figure holding the lightsaber! The second accessory, the soft-plastic cape, is a good fit and can be put on or taken off easily.

The paint application on Galen Marek is cleanly applied, but a let down nonetheless. The light brown colors appear to be too bright, and Starkiller's Raxus Prime outfit in the game looked dirty and used, which is not the case with the figure's outfit. The figure's mold however is well done, with nice stitching details on the arms and legs, and a very nice head sculpt. The wraps and belts around Galen Marek's upper body look nice as well. All in all, if you can look past the paint application and the fact that the figure can't hold its weapon, you'll very likely enjoy this figure. And since Galen Marek is the main protege in The Force Unleashed, it's a welcome addition to the line-up.
