MORE INFORMATION

  • This Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi action figure was released in July 2016 exclusively at San Diego Comic Con
  • A few weeks after its release some units were sold through HasbroToyShop.com
  • Hasbro included two lightsabers with Obi-Wan Kenobi, his own and Anakin Skywalker's
  • Our lightsabers came with non-removable blades, although they should be removable
  • We pulled HARD on both of them to get them out of the hilt, had we pulled any harder it would have likely broken both sabers
  • If you have this figure, please let us know in the comments below if your lightsaber blades are detachable from the hilt
  • The figure is able to hold both sabers well in each hand
  • The soft-goods jedi robe looks great and fits surprisingly well, even the hood can be adjusted nicely
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi's head sculpt is outstanding and looks just like Sir Alex Guiness
  • Obi-Wan's clothing were kept in a clean condition, a little Tatooine weathering or sand on the outfit/boots would have been nice to see
  • The color tone in the face, the cloak and the tunic look good
  • We've experienced no balancing issues while taking pictures of the figure
  • The electronic table with removable Princess Leia hologram is fantastic
  • There are two phases to the electronics, the first time the button is pressed Leia lights up and says "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi" and then the light goes out
  • Press the button a second time and Leia lights up again and gives the full "Help me Obi-Wan" speech
  • The sound sample used was cleaned up and doesn't contain any background noise from the movie (nice!)
  • The table is sculpted and painted well and it makes a great addition to any display (it also includes three AAA batteries!)
  • The packaging is among the best we've seen so far, there is a little tray on the side which can be pulled out, it houses instructions and a display stand
  • The cardboard display stand can hold Obi-Wan's portray or Princess Leia's "Help me Obi-Wan" speech
  • All in all, this Black Series 6" version of Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi with electronic table is our favorite Black Series 6" figure of 2016!
  • The same figure, but without Anakin's lightsaber, the nice packaging and without the electronic table was released individually boxed in December 2016 -> Black Series 6" Obi-Wan Kenobi
  • In February 2017 this Obi-Wan Kenobi figure was released in special 40th Anniversary Collection packaging -> Obi-Wan Kenobi 40th Anniversary Collection
  • Thank you to Hasbro for providing this figure for the database

PACKAGING TEXT

Obi-Wan Kenobi was once a noble Jedi Knight in the days of the Old Republic before the Jedi Order was extinguished and before the tyrannical Empire ruled the galaxy. After the fall of the Jedi, Obi-Wan retreated to the isolated Jutland Wastes on the desert planet Tatooine. Many locals dismissed the old hermit as a crazy wizard and never suspected that he was a once-great warrior and former general of the Republic. in actuality, Kenobi was silently observing from afar the young farm boy Luke Skywalker, whose future was unknowingly linked to the survival of the Jedi and the Rebellion. When Obi-Wan saves Luke from a band of Tusken Raiders, he begins to mentor young Skywalker in the ways of the Force, and they set out to rescue the Rebel leader Princess Leia from the Empire's dreaded Death Star.
