MORE INFORMATION

This Yoda with cane and boiling pot was released individually carded in the The Power Of The Force 2 toy line in 1998. The figure is based on Yoda the way he appeared on Dagobah in The Empire Strikes Back.

For this figure, Kenner reused the previously released Yoda figure, but gave it a slightly different paint application, and added some hair to the back of Yoda's head. It also has a different copyright date than the old figure. Yoda has 4 joints, with swivel joints in the neck, shoulders and the hip. Since Yoda doesn't have individually molded legs, he stands very safely on his own. All three accessories, the lamp, the boiling pot and the cane fit only loosely into Yoda's hands and are likely to fall out once the figure is repositioned.

The paint application on the Jedi Master is basic, but gets the job done. Unfortunately, the cane and the pot are kept in a bright orange, which looks off and never appeared in the movie like that. The "realistic" hair on the back of Yoda's head is just OK, but makes the figure different from other Yoda action figures released. All in all, like with most figures this old, the sculpt is outdated, but it still looks nice on display.

PACKAGING TEXT

Like the swamp planet Dagobah where he lived out his last years, the Jedi Master Yoda was shrouded in mystery. A diminutive, green-skinned creature, Yoda faithfully served the Galactic Republic as one of the 12 members of the Jedi Council. When the Emperor seized control of the galaxy, he ordered the elimination of all Jedi. In his darkest hour, Yoda, the last known Jedi Master, went into a life of hiding on Dagobah. When Luke Skywalker searched out Yoda for Jedi training on the advice of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi Master had reservations, but he chose to instruct young Skywalker in the ways of the Force.
