The Vintage Collection Schedule UPDATE!

Here is a complete look at Hasbro's The Vintage Collection schedule all the way up to Fall 2019. There are six figures which still need to be revealed and we will likely see them at New York Toy Fair 2019. The future looks bright for fans of Kenner packaging and super articulated action figures, check it out:

Officially Announced Figures

January 2019

• VC132 Saelt Marae (first time on a Kenner-style card, this is an all new figure, it is identical however to the Yak Face action figure which comes with the Sail Barge, but on regular Vintage Collection card without a coin)
• VC133 Scarif Stormtrooper (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is a straight repack of the Black Series 3.75" Walmart exclusive Scarif Stormtrooper Squad Leader from 2016)
• VC134 Princess Leia (in Boushh Disguise) (first time on a Kenner-style card, the face will be updated with the photo real face printing technology, the figure itself is a re-release of the 2015 Princess Leia Organa in Boushh Disguise from the 3.75" Black Series)
• VC135 Klaatu (first time on a Kenner-style card, this is an all new figure)

February 2019

• VC000 Yak Face (and the Sail Barge) (the figure is identical to the basic VC132 Saelt Marae figure but on a Kenner-style Power Of The Force card with a collector coin. This was the very first HasLab project in 2017 and no, it will not be made available again to fans in the United States and Canada. There will however be a small number of Sail Barges made available to customers outside of the United States and Canada, but no specific information has been released yet)

April 2019

• VC138 Elite Praetorian Guard (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is a repack of the Black Series 3.75" Elite Praetorian Guard with Heavy Blade from 2017)
• VC139 Lando Calrissian (Solo: A Star Wars Story) (first time on a Kenner-style card, this is an all new figure)
• VC140 Stormtrooper (Rogue One) (first time on a Rogue One Kenner-style card, the figure uses the most accurately sculpted helmet from this Rogue One Stormtrooper but combines it with a super articulated Stormtrooper body. The latest information we have is that it will be released in all clean white armor, but the last time it was on display at the press event during New York Comic Con 2018 a dirty version was on display)
• VC141 Chewbacca (first time on a STAR WARS Kenner-style card, the only other Chewbacca released on a modern Kenner-style card was during the 2004 Vintage Original Trilogy Collection almost 15 years ago, but that figure was released on a Return Of The Jedi card. The figure itself will be a re-release of the Black Series 3.75" Chewbacca figure from 2015)
• VC142 Captain Phasma (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure will be a repack of the Black Series 3.75" Captain Phasma figure from 2016)

Retail Exclusives

• VC136 TBA
• VC137 TBA
• VC143 Han Solo (in Stormtrooper Disguise Target exclusive) (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is a re-tool of The Legacy Collection Han Solo figure from 2009, but this time the helmet is more accurate, the photo real face printing technology will be used and the upper torso was resculpted)
• VC144 TBA
• VC145 41st Elite Corps Clone Trooper (EE exclusive) (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is a repaint of the Black Series 3.75" Elite Corps Clone Trooper with a fixed belt and painted gloves)
• VC021 Gammorean Guard (a straight re-release of the Vintage Collection Gamorrean Guard figure, therefore the second time on a Kenner-style card. However we'll likely see some changes to the back of the packaging with updated warning labels and other advertised figures than before)

July 2019

• VC146 Luke Skywalker (Crait) (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is all new)
• VC147 Death Star Gunner (Rogue One) (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is all new based on new reference material from Rogue One)
• VC148 Assault Tank Commander (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is all new)
• VC149 R2-D2 (first time on a STAR WARS Kenner-style card, the figure is a re-release of the Force Link 2.0 R2-D2 figure from 2018)
• VC150 Darth Revan (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is a straight repack of the 30th Anniversary Collection Darth Revan figure from 2007)

Fall 2019

• VCXXX Poe Dameron (first time on a Kenner-style card, the figure is a straight re-release of the Black Series 3.75" Poe Dameron figure from 2015)

Specialty Shop Exclusives

Following Star Wars: The Vintage Collection figures were announced during New York Comic Con 2018 as re-releases to specialty shops in order to give fans, in particular overseas, a chance to get their hands on those classic figures. You can watch the announcement in our live HD video coverage starting at about 44 minutes into the footage where Patrick Schneider, Global Brand Manager for Hasbro Star Wars, talked about it and included the United States in his talk. 

Those figures are a bit of a dilemma for Hasbro because they were looking into getting classic characters back out to fans (just like they are doing with the Black Series 6" ARCHIVE series) but the Vintage Collection figures were already released on classic Kenner-style cards and it doesn't get more classic than that, so instead of creating new packaging, the original classic Vintage Collection packaging will be re-used.

Expect changes made to the back of the packaging in comparison to the previous releases with adjustments to legal statements and advertisting of currently available figures. During MCM Comic Con London it was mentioned that this wave would be available in Europe only, so we'll have to wait and see how this is going to play out.
