This version of R2-D2 was part of a Droid Factory 2-pack, which was a Walmart exclusive in 2008. R2 is based on the scene where Darth Vader shot him while flying behind Luke's X-Wing fighter in the Death Star trench. This is the first time that Hasbro has released R2 based on this specific scene. The figure has a rotating dome, which when turned, moves R2-D2's middle leg in and out. All 3 legs have little rolls in them, so you can move the little droid around. The best part about this version of R2-D2 is definitely the paint application, which looks absolutely cool and the way it looked in the movie. Even the open panels (not movable) on the front of the droid have some of the cables painted. This R2 is probably one of the most detailed which Hasbro has released in recent memory, and if you don't own enough R2-D2's just yet, you might want to consider picking this version of the astromech droid up.
Luke is a young Jedi who helps defeat the Empire. His Astromech droid R2-D2 is damaged during the attack on the first Death Star.
