MORE INFORMATION

This Anakin Skywalker action figure was released in June of 2009 during The Legacy Collection. The figure is based on Sang Jun Lee's concept drawings which were developed for The Revenge Of The Sith. Hasbro gave this concept Anakin Skywalker 14 joints, a blue lightsaber (note that the concept drawings showed Anakin with a red lightsaber), a removable lightsaber hilt which can be attached on his belt, and a removable hard-plastic cape. The figure stands securely by itself without the need of a stand, and the lightsaber fits nicely into Skywalker's hand. The head sculpt is nicely done, but looks more like what Anakin looked like in the movie rather than the "longer face" Anakin from the concept drawings. The paint application is applied nicely starting with the stripes on Anakin's boots and the dark gray stripes on his right arm, all the way up to his facial features. Overall, it's a cool figure with plenty of articulation, and if you collect figures that didn't appear in any of the movies, this one might be for you!
