This Anakin Skywalker figure was released in the "Ambush On The Vulture's Claw" battlepack in late August 2009. The figure is a repack of the previously single-carded released animated Anakin Skywalker figure from wave 1 of the Clone Wars series. This time however the figure came with a removable soft goods poncho as seen in the Clone Wars episode "Downfall Of A Droid".

The paint application on the figure is well done and cleanly applied, and it shows an Anakin Skywalker before he obtained his famous scar. Anakin's blue lightsaber fits very well into both of his hands. The poncho looks pretty nice and most importantly fits very well on the figure. It doesn't look bulky like some of the other soft-goods cloaks that come with figures. When you compare the poncho with the on-screen version you'll notice that some of the details are missing, but if you don't look specifically for those you won't notice that they are absent.

Unfortunately, Hasbro didn't include any joints in Anakin's knees or ankles, but the figure stands quite nicely without additional support from a stand. All in all, if you don't own the previously released Anakin figure, you can't go wrong picking this one up. And, while the figure is just a repack, the poncho makes it looks quite different.

R2-D2 is lost during a space battle, and Anakin is determined to find him. The Jedi spots a Trandoshan scavenger ship near the debris field, but the ship's shady operator, Gha Nachkt, denies finding an R2 unit. Anakin and his Padawan Ahsoka encounter plenty of deception and danger as they search the salvage vessel for Artoo.
