MORE INFORMATION

This Anakin Skywalker figure was released as a Walmart exclusive in August 2009 together with a Super Battle Droid. The figure is a re-release from the TAC Comic 2-pack from 2008, but this time his face doesn't have any scratches. Anakin is based on Star Wars: The New Droid Army video game, which was released for Nintendo's Gameboy Advanced on November 14th, 2002.

The figure has a total of 12 joints, only missing ankle articulation. The blue lightsaber (non-removable blade) fits firmly in both of his hands. The figure stands very securely on it's own and doesn't need additional support from a stand. The Jedi robe looks pretty nice (note that the sleeves are painted and not part of the robe). It has some battle damage holes on the front and on the back of it. All in all, this is a good Anakin figure with plenty of joints, and a head sculpt which is based on Anakin's appearance when he was still a Padawan.

PACKAGING TEXT

In Star Wars: The New Droid Army video game, Anakin Skywalker must stop the creation of a new battle droid army after the Battle of Geonosis. This time, the Techno Union is creating battle droids with shells made of cortosis, a material that blocks lightsaber attacks, making these droids a particular threat to the Jedi.
