- R2-D2 was released in a Mission Series 2-pack
- The other figure in this set was Yoda
- Artoo's head can be manually rotated 360 degrees - but there is no clicking sound
- There are no electronics in this version of R2
- One of the front panels can be opened - it has one of R2's arms inside of it
- The arm can manually be pulled out
- There is no third leg - and the ankles are not movable
- There are no wheels in R2-D2's feet
- The figure is painted cleanly without any smudges or errors
- Some weathering and dirt on Artoo would have improved the droid's appearance especially when considering that this version of R2-D2 is based on a scene from Dagobah
