• This Emperor's Throne Room set was released in special packaging as a Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 exclusive in late October 2021
• The cool looking cardboard packaging folds open into an Emperor's Throne Room diorama
• For this Emperor figure Hasbro used the same body as for the single carded Emperor Palpatine figure but they included a different head and additional accessories
• Palpatine came with an extra set of hands with Force lightning attached, a removable plastic hood, a walking cane, a removable soft-goods robe, a chair, a backdrop and Luke Skywalker's lightsaber
• The plastic hood fits well over the head and the combination of plastic hood and soft-goods robe works well together
• Unfortunately Palpatine's soft-goods robe feels overly bulky and even with patience it's very difficult to make it look good
• The walking-cane fits only loosely into the hands
• The extra set of hands is easy to exchange, simply unplug Palpatine's hands and plug the new ones in
• The hands with the Force Lightning attached were nicely painted with red fingers going into a translucent blue color
• Palpatine stands well on display without loosing the balance
• The soft-goods robe feels unmanageably bulky and it's difficult to make it look right when either shooting Force Lightning or having him walk straight leaning onto his cane
• The included chair looks great and it's a major upgrade to the one which was released in 1997, it's bigger and more accurate, and it has sculpted buttons and detailing instead of stickers, have a look here for a comparison
• Even though Palpatine's feet can't reach the floor properly when seated, it's still possible to make the figure look great when sitting
• The backdrop looks cool
• Luke Skywalker's lightsaber can be loosely placed onto the chair's arm rest
• Even though this Emperor's Throne Room set can easily be recommended for the Kenner-style fold-open packaging and newly sculpted chair alone, for such an anticipated figure by the fan community it would have been nice to see an updated body with ball-jointed hips, swivel thighs, rocker wrists and a ball-jointed upper body to bring it up to current articulation standards

Rising from the north pole of the second Death Star is a 100-story isolation tower reserved for the Emperor, from which he oversees the battle station's operations. The tower's four spokes house a throne room, Palpatine's private chambers, and a vault reserved for Sith artifacts. This throne room was the site of a climactic showdown between Jedi and Sith at the Battle of Endor.
